Lithuanian Air Force transport aircraft C–27J Spartan left Siauliai Airfielod for Tbilisi with 5 tons of humanitarian aid – clothes, bedding, food, and means of hygiene - on board, August 27.

The batch was collected by Lithuanian people, public organisations, enterprises and organisations. Collection of humanitarian relief was administered by the Democracy and Development Assistance Fund, Volunteer Centre, Cistercian Monastery in Kaunas, Convent of St. Mary’s Poor Sisters’ Congregation in Marijampole, and Siauliai Culture House.

That was the fifth donation Lithuania has delivered for those stricken by the Georgia conflict.

Spartan C-27J will be back to Lithuania on August 28.
